The box office battle between Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava and John Abraham's The Diplomat took an interesting turn over the weekend, with Chhaava continuing to dominate the charts.

As the weekend came to a close, the film saw a boost with Rs 8 crore earned on Sunday, bringing its total earnings to a whopping Rs 562.65 crore. This includes Rs 548.7 crore from Hindi language collections and Rs 13.95 crore from its Telugu version.

Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal, has managed to create a strong connection with the audience, as seen in its growing earnings, even as it continues to charm moviegoers.

The Diplomat Struggles Despite Positive Reception

On the other hand, John Abraham's thriller The Diplomat, which was also released recently, faced challenges in its box office performance. Despite receiving praise for John Abraham's acting and Sadiya Khateeb's performance, the film could not capitalize on the weekend rush.

The movie had a slow start, with a Rs 4 crore collection on Friday, and there was only a slight improvement on Saturday. Even with Sunday marking a holiday, The Diplomat could not register a significant rise in its earnings, managing only Rs 4 crore 65 lakh on its third day. With this, the total box office collection for The Diplomat now stands at Rs 13.3 crore.

Weekend Box Office Comparison

While Chhaava continues to perform strongly and has already joined the prestigious 550-crore club, The Diplomat is struggling to gain traction in comparison. The solid weekend earnings for Chhaava indicate a sustained interest from the audience, while The Diplomat needs to see a turnaround in the coming days to remain competitive.
