Virendra Sachdeva, the Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president, expressed confidence that the BJP will win the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 during his appearance at the India TV's Chunav Manch on January 25, 2025. Sachdeva emphasized that the elections will revolve around several key issues, including pollution, the liquor scam, the controversy surrounding Sheesh Mahal, and the ongoing water crisis in Delhi.

According to Sachdeva, Arvind Kejriwal's government is responsible for several failures in Delhi, notably during the COVID-19 pandemic. He pointed out that while Delhi faced a shortage of oxygen cylinders, Kejriwal was focused on building the Sheesh Mahal and implementing the controversial liquor policy. Sachdeva argued that this is why Kejriwal is now under investigation, saying it is impossible for investigative agencies to ignore such mismanagement.

Turning to development issues, Sachdeva praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP workers for driving major projects like Pragati Maidan, the Rapid Rail, Kartavya Path, and the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. He accused Kejriwal of hindering these developments and refusing to contribute financially, solely to prevent anyone from taking credit for the progress.

The Delhi BJP chief also accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of disrespecting Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, who was recently insulted by AAP leaders, who referred to him as a “Rohingya” and “Bangladeshi.” According to Sachdeva, the BJP has no issue with Punjabis, but with the actions of AAP officials, including the distribution of liquor at inappropriate times.

When asked about the allegations from AAP claiming that the BJP was behind Kejriwal's arrest, Sachdeva firmly stated that the investigations were a result of Kejriwal’s own actions. He criticized the Sheesh Mahal and its extravagant features, such as expensive curtains, numerous air conditioners, and excessive toilets, saying that no previous Delhi government had looted the city as much as Kejriwal’s.

Sachdeva also referenced the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report, which points to corruption within the AAP government. He indicated that the BJP will soon establish a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe these issues, confident that the people of Delhi will see through Kejriwal's gimmicks.

As the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 approach, polling for all 70 Assembly seats will take place on February 5, 2025, with the vote counting scheduled for February 8, 2025.
