In a move aimed at improving the experience of pilgrims and tourists visiting the holy city of Ayodhya, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced the installation of display kiosks at key locations. The initiative will primarily benefit visitors to prominent religious sites such as the Ram Mandir and Hanumangarhi temple, offering them real-time updates and essential information about visiting hours, distances, and other important details.

Enhancing Pilgrimage Experience

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the government has taken steps to provide a more seamless and informed experience to people visiting Ayodhya. The display kiosks will be placed at four strategically chosen locations, including railway stations and airports, which are high-traffic areas for visitors. These kiosks will be equipped to provide historical, cultural, and tourism-related information, as well as real-time updates, ensuring that pilgrims and tourists can easily navigate their way around the city’s prominent religious landmarks.

The Ayodhya Pilgrimage Development Authority (APDA) is responsible for the execution of this project. If successful, the initiative will likely be expanded to other key locations, further improving connectivity for tourists. Each kiosk will be valued at approximately ₹2.5 lakh, with the government aiming to enhance the tourist experience in the region.

User-Friendly Features of the Kiosks

The kiosks will feature touchscreen interfaces, making it easy for visitors to access relevant information in an efficient manner. Voice command features may also be integrated to ensure that the kiosks are user-friendly for a wider range of visitors, including those who may be unfamiliar with touchscreen devices.

Additionally, the kiosks will include a QR code scanner, enabling visitors to easily access information directly on their mobile phones. This will make it possible for tourists to gather information about temples, tourism activities, and local attractions without having to stop at every kiosk.

To ensure smooth operation, each kiosk will be equipped with internet connectivity, power backup systems, and security features to prevent vandalism. The regular updates will be maintained to keep the information relevant, accurate, and timely.

Boosting Tourism in Ayodhya

This initiative is also expected to contribute significantly to boosting tourism in Ayodhya, a city already revered for its religious importance. The installation of display kiosks is part of a larger effort by the state government to improve the infrastructure of Ayodhya, especially as it continues to grow as a top destination for pilgrims and tourists alike. The kiosks will be crucial in guiding visitors who may be unfamiliar with the city’s complex geography or religious sites, ensuring they enjoy a smooth and stress-free pilgrimage experience.

Ram Temple Extended Visiting Hours

In related news, the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has also extended its visiting hours to accommodate the growing number of devotees. As of Monday, the temple now opens at 6:00 am instead of the previous 7:00 am, with updated aarti timings. Visitors can now enter the temple from 6:30 am to 11:50 am after the Shringar Aarti, and the temple will then reopen from 1:00 pm to 6:50 pm for the Sandhya Aarti at 7:00 pm.

With these steps, the Yogi government is making efforts to ensure that Ayodhya remains a well-organized and welcoming destination for all those who visit, enhancing the experience of pilgrims and tourists alike.
