Mr. Shukla, aged 51, brings with him over 29 years of extensive experience in formulations and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), particularly for injectables catering to US and EU requirements. Before his appointment at Zydus, Mr. Shukla held the role of Vice President, Operations-Sterile Injectable and Biotech Operations at Pfizer Inc. in the APAC region. His previous work experience spans several prominent pharmaceutical companies, including Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Lupin, Nicolas Piramal, and Zydus Hospira Oncology JV, providing him with a solid foundation in injectable business management.

Zydus Lifesciences has expressed confidence that Mr. Shukla’s leadership will help the company streamline its operations and capitalize on the growing market for injectable products. The company’s move to appoint a dedicated senior leader in this space highlights its commitment to expanding its injectable business to meet increasing global demand.
