According to a police official, a fire brigade official confirmed that two JCB machines were set ablaze and several vehicles were damaged. The official added that one fireman sustained injuries while trying to control the situation.

The situation has now been brought under control, but several police personnel were injured in the clashes. DCP Chandak urged people to remain calm and warned against spreading or believing rumours that could incite further violence.
