Key Points:

Last Vistara Flight: Vistara will operate its final flight under its brand on November 11, 2024.

Booking Changes: Post-September 3, bookings for travel beyond November 11 will need to be made through Air India.

Ticket and PNR Information: Existing bookings with Vistara will remain valid; however, tickets will be issued by Air India post-merger.

Vistara Airlines, the full-service carrier operating as a joint venture between Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, will cease its operations under its brand on November 11, 2024. Following this date, Vistara’s operations will be unified with Air India starting November 12, 2024. This transition comes after the Centre approved the foreign direct investment by Singapore Airlines as part of the ongoing Air India-Vistara merger process.

Final Vistara Flight and Booking Changes

From September 3, 2024, customers will no longer be able to make new bookings with Vistara for travel on or after November 12, 2024. Until November 11, Vistara will continue to accept and operate flights as usual. Post-November 11, all future bookings must be done through Air India’s official website or mobile app.

Vistara CEO Vinod Kannan highlighted that the merger aims to provide passengers with more options, a larger fleet, and a broader network, thereby enhancing the overall travel experience.

Impact on Existing Bookings

For passengers who have booked flights with Vistara up until November 11, their bookings will remain unchanged, and flights will operate under the Vistara brand. However, passengers who booked flights after September 3 for travel beyond November 11 will need to make their reservations via Air India.

Ticket and PNR Information:

Existing Bookings: The PNR number and e-tickets for flights booked until November 11 will remain valid. Any changes or updates to these bookings can be managed through the Vistara website and mobile app until November 11.

Post-Merger Flights: From November 12, all flights will be operated by Air India. Passengers will receive a new Air India ticket with a new e-ticket number, though their PNR number will remain the same. Passengers will need to visit an Air India counter at the airport to obtain their new ticket on the day of travel.

For assistance after November 12, passengers can contact the Air India Call Centre at +91 116 932 9333 for rescheduling or cancellations.

This merger marks a significant shift in India’s aviation sector, aiming to consolidate resources and provide enhanced travel options for passengers across both airlines.
